What we do Have a voice Peer Education We engage the most disadvantaged young women who face sexual exploitation, domestic violence, mental health, poverty etc. We support young women to have a voice, shape services and influence decisions through planning and evaluating services, recruitment, research, discussions with decision makers, resource production, Leeds Child Friendly City, plan and host events including SHE MATTERS event re issues that matter to young women in Leeds. On a national level In 2012 Getaway Girls spoke at the House of Lords to share good practice about our successful work supporting the most vulnerable young women. We are currently involved in planning a national conference re Girls Rights to be held in London on 8th October for International Day of the Girl. We have recently been shortlisted for the Children and Young People Now Awards which take place in November 2016.
