Who we are Staff Susan Allanson What I do I have been the Financial /Office Manager of our organisation since September 2012. My work ranges from making payments and sending out invoices for the services or resources we provide, managing salaries, to updating our financial records and accounts, producing financial reports for current projects and helping prepare financial budgets for new proposals. I producing reports necessary for monitoring and evaluation purposes. I’m also responsible for the smooth running of the offices. I work closely with the Director and assist my colleagues as and when required. This can mean anything from answering the phone to ordering office supplies, to minute taking; through to dealing with suppliers and all administration relating to recruitment. What I did before I’ve had a few jobs over the years, but when I started working in the community I knew that’s what I wanted to do. I worked for Northcall Community centre for 10 years. I was employed to set up the finance system when the centre open. After a few years I applied for a position of family worker, which consisted of working in partnership with the local school, children’s centres and families in the local community. I also spent a year working part-time for Moor Allerton Elderly Care, which is a brilliant charity working with the over 60’s. A bit about me I’m potty about my dog Alfie, I spend most of my free time walking him with friends, it’s a great time to catch up, but it also keeps me fit. My husband joins me walking Alfie at the weekend, we love to find new walks and dog friendly café’s. I also enjoy going to the gym and meeting up with my friends for lunch.
